About John Chappell
Upon graduating with a degree in Zoology from U.C. Davis, John moved to the Monterey Peninsula.
Wildlife, landscape and portrait photography provided him the challenge of combining art with craft.
At home in Carmel, John established his own business in ceramic tile and stone installation.
His affinity for natural materials becomes apparent in all his works. His experience and experimentation culminated in the production of tables, lamps, fountains and ceramic creations. Most recently John Chappell has been designing jewelry incorporating fossils and semi-precious stones.
Since retiring from his career as a Ceramic Tile Contractor, John has been hitting the road selling his wares at Festivals, Fairs and Marketplaces thoughout the Central Coast of California. John has also begun teaching small Clay Classes. Check out our Events Calendar for the next venue!
